Do you set goals? Do you have a system that helps you achieve your goals?
After Christmas, most people do New Year’s resolution but do they do Past Year’s reviews?
I think that is very important that w
e first make last year’s reviews before we jump to the new year’s resolutions.
Believe me, this will help you avoid repeating the same mistakes over and over again and will help you have more successful setup for goals.
How to do this?
Just go and find your notebook or place where you have written your goals last year. If you haven’t done this, grab one and start.
-
Get a notebook
-
Find a quiet place and start writing.
-
Think about what you have done and what you haven’t.
-
Think about what worked last year and what didn’t.
Once you’ve gone through the past year, look at positives and schedule in a new set of goals.
-
Think about what you want to achieve next month, year, or 5years from now.
-
Think about where you want to be and what kind of person do you want to be.
-
Think about what you want to improve and how you are going to do it.
That’s it! If you try it, let me know how it goes.
If you want to succeed you need to set goals! Without goals, you lack focus and direction.
To accomplish your goals, however, you need to know how to set them. You can’t expect it to happen just because you say “I want”.
Goal setting is a process, not just wishful thinking!
There are some critical points required if you want to achieve anything…
Even when you think that you know what happens in your life it is crucial that you write it on paper.
That is very true, I write New Years Resolutions and hope ill actually do something about them but by reviewing things that happend last year Im more likely to create a plan as Ill know what went wrong. Thanks
